SpaceCheck v1.3

Do your users know how much space they are using on your Netware servers? Tired of sending e-mails to disk hogs? SpaceCheck is a small utility designed to notify a user when their disk usage situation exceeds certain administrator defined bounds. These are :
  • Total space used by the user on a volume is > X
  • Available space on a volume falls below X
  • Total space in a directory and sub directories exceeds X (eg home dir)
  • Space available in a directory falls below X (eg checking disk limits)
Any one of these conditions, along with the value of X and a user defined message, can be set up by the administrator. SpaceCheck works quickly, and if the user is not exceeding any limits it will be invisible to them. SpaceCheck can be also run in a number of ways, depending on your site. It could be :
  • Run from the login script
  • Launched via the NAL window as a "Force Run" job
  • Executed through the Zenworks or Active Directory group policy
  • Called from a scheduling tool
